German cuisine differs from neighboring countries such as France or Italy.  Germany's different regions often have their own distinctive foods as well.

2.  Please tell us about about one interesting German dish, one dish common in your region, and at least one desert.  Give/ describe the basic ingredients in the recipe. Include pictures whenever possible!

3.  Finally: Please find a recipe for a German dish or dessert that you could maybe maybe at home without too much trouble!
