Vermont State Legislature Resolutions - revisions
Patrick Riley, Abby Breen and Andersen Thorp were recognized by the Vermont State Legislature in resolutions on February 23rd in the House of Representatives Chamber.
The Hartford baseball team was honored for winning the school’s first Division One Vermont State Baseball Championship title in 36 years. 2009 Co-Captain Patrick Riley was honored for helping to lead his teammates to victory. Patrick is a freshman at Castleton State College and is in spring training on their school’s baseball team.
Abby Breen, counselor at HHS, and Andersen Thorp, HHS Art Department Chairman, were honored for directing the school’s "High Five" Mural; a forty foot mural that promotes tolerance, friendship, learning, community service and global awareness.
The girls’ field hockey team was also recognized for winning the Vermont State Championship.
The ceremony was attended by students, staff and coaches from HHS. These resolutions were sponsored by Windsor County Representative Chuck Bohi.
