FirstClass and iPhones....

To iphone users,

The good news is that the FirstClass Client app is available at the Apple Store. So if you have an iPhone, enjoy the client.

However, here are some don'ts that are extremely important to note:

1. Don't even try to edit web pages.

2. Do not use the client with a sub-admin account.

3. Don't delete anything. Login with something other than the iPhone client.

FIRSTCLASS: How to Install and Login

In order to receive email you first need to activate your account. Under useful links on the left side of the page you will see a link that says First Class Account Activation. Click on the link and type in your user name (for example, cintorinom) and password (your last name). You will then be prompted to change your password - please do so. You should get a message that's says "Activation Finished."

You can then go to the First Class icon on your desktop. Click on the arrow next to "Advanced" and go to "set up." On this page, in the middle, you'll see a field that says server. Only fill in this field, none of the others. In this field put fc.hartfordschools.net and click save in the lower right corner. Now you should be able to log in with your user name and new password.

To log in to your FirstClass from home, we recommend you install firstClass client on your desktop. (It takes a little time but it is faster and works better than accessing FirstClass from the web). Click on the link in the left column called Download the FirstClass Client at home", and follow the instructions. A little heads up here - the download takes a long time so don't do it when you are in a rush. Once the FirstClass icon is on your desktop, double-click on it, change the server name to fc.hartfordschools.net and login as described above.

ROUTINE USE OF DAYS OF THE WEEK

Each day of the week during the school year will be reserved, whenever possible, as follows:

Monday - Administrative Council (3^rd Monday of each month);

Building-based meetings (all others)

Tuesday - H.E.A. (2^nd Tuesday of each month);

Faculty & department meetings (all others)

Wednesday - Curriculum Steering Committee (1^st Wednesday of each month);

Mentor training (2^nd Wednesday of each month);
